Our Electrical Division has successfully completed Phase 1 of 3 at South Dakota State University’s Dining Facility Renovation & Addition in Brookings, SD, just in time for students to return for fall classes. One of the major highlights of this phase was a coordinated 5-day shutdown where the team installed a new Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) through the weekend — all while simultaneously managing another shutdown in a separate area of campus.
Project Scope
This project is a full remodel and addition of the SDSU dining facility, which will include:
* C-store
* Short order kitchen
* Four-area kitchen with dining room
* Two elevators
* Installation of a back-up generator
Work will continue in phases through the summer of 2026.
