Project Overview

Sentry’s SD Service division provided a comprehensive series of wastewater treatment facility improvements at the Agropur wastewater treatment plant in Lake Norden, South Dakota. This multi-phase project included strategic process upgrades and equipment installations designed to enhance reliability, hydraulics, and operational efficiency within an active, industrial wastewater environment.
 
Work was executed to support treatment performance and facility continuity while the plant remained in operation. The improvements spanned mechanical installations, process piping, bypass systems, and structural treatment enhancements.
Scope of Work
Sentry’s SD Service team self-performed a range of improvements and system modifications, including:
 
Process Infrastructure:
  • Installation and modification of wastewater process piping systems
  • RAS booster and emergency RAS line installations
  • Underground and bypass piping to support continuous operations
Treatment System Enhancements:
  • EQ tank diffuser installations
  • Mixer and agitator installations within ponds and treatment tanks
  • Clarifier scum line installation and modifications
  • Sludge thickener and sludge handling system support
  • Digester door and internal component work
 
Facility Operations Support:
  • Bypass piping systems to maintain flow continuity during upgrades
  • Wastewater tank sealing and related structural repairs
  • Crane-assisted equipment placement within live treatment zones
