Sentry’s General Contracting Division recently completed a design-build livestock transient facility for South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota.
The project required coordination between design, engineering, and construction to deliver a facility that supports livestock handling, extension activities, and daily use in a high-use agricultural environment. The building combines open-air and enclosed spaces to allow for proper airflow, animal health, and operational flexibility.
Through the design-build process, Sentry worked directly with SDSU to develop a layout that supports livestock care, movement, and maintenance while maintaining long-term durability.
